Neck pain is the 2nd most common condition in which people seek out chiropractic care. Millions of people experience neck pain and related upper back/arm pain at some stage in their lives. In today’s culture we spend hours driving, sitting, hunching over a computer or other sedentary activities. These activities along with many others can adversely affect the neck.

Neck pain can be caused from a trauma such as a sports injury, a fall, or an auto accident. It can also be from prolonged wear and tear that results in abnormalities in the muscles, ligaments, and nerves that are caused by misalignments in the spine. These misalignments in the spine can also be the source of pain in the upper back, shoulders, and arms. Pain that radiates or travels down the arm and into the hand or fingers can be a sign/ symptom of a pinched nerve or entrapment in the neck.

Common Causes of Neck Pain

  • Pinched Nerves
  • Misalignments in the Spine
  • Postural Imbalances
  • Arthritis
  • Pinched Nerves
  • Misalignments in the Spine
  • Degeneration
  • Spinal Stenosis
  • Whiplash

In most cases, neck pain can be resolved and mobility restored quickly with the proper treatment. Given the importance of the neck to overall mobility and function throughout the body, it is important to understand the root of pain and treat it correctly.

How We Can Help

We use state-of-the-art scanning technology to measure nervous system function and progress throughout a patients care. This scanning technology allows use to see what root causes are contributing to the patients symptoms. The scans are done during the first visit for every patient as well as at the end of treatment plans to compare and demonstrate changes that were made during their care. In addition, the initial consultation includes a detailed history and chiropractic examination. The history includes any past illnesses or problems experienced, the details of the current complaint, and social and family health. During the chiropractic examination a series of tests are performed for specific areas of the body; including the spine and any extremities deemed necessary by one of our chiropractors.

Our chiropractors use specialized techniques with an emphasis on SOT (Sacro Occipital Technique). Other techniques include Diversified, Gonstead and CMRT (Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique). Our doctors also have a background in soft tissue techniques (massage therapy) and training in fascial movement taping. Our client demographic is very diverse including families, pregnant women, infants/toddlers and athletes of all ages. Our athletes vary from young athletes, weekend warriors, college athletes and professional competing athletes.
